My Therapy style

  • Style

I feel that the relationship and the trust between a therapist and client are essential for positive outcomes in therapy. My therapeutic style is warm, gentle, and collaborative. However, I do also provide feedback on patterns that I see in order to help my clients achieve the goals and changes they may be seeking.

  • Theory

I am informed by systems and psychodynamic theories but also have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and other evidenced based practices. I also incorporate attachment theory and polyvagal theory into my work with clients based on their particular needs.

  • Experience

I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, autism/neurodiversity and substance use disorders. I have extensive experience working with children, teens and young adults. I am social justice allied. My work is also influenced by the neurodiversity movement.
